Clinton contempt votes will hit the House floor next Wednesday

House GOP leaders are planning votes next Wednesday on a pair of contempt of Congress resolutions against former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to three people granted anonymity to discuss private planning.

The Rules Committee will meet at 4 p.m. Monday to consider the resolutions for the floor.

The Oversight Committee advanced the resolutions last week, with several Democrats breaking from their party to support the measure after the Clintons defied a subpoena to testify as part of the panel’s investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

POLITICO previously reported the votes were expected some time next week.

Hailey Fuchs contributed to this report.
