Wireless Logic’s Conexa eSIM incorporated into U-blox’s latest Cat 1bis module

SARA-R10001DE will offer flexible and reliable connectivity management through Wireless Logic’s leading global IoT network.

Wireless Logic, the leading global Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity platform provider, has supplied u-blox, a provider of positioning and wireless communication services, with its Conexa embedded SIM (eSIM) to feature in Long-Term Evolution (LTE) CAT 1BIS modules.

Conexa is Wireless Logic’s industry-leading IoT connectivity network. It will be integrated within u-blox’s SARA-R10001DE via an eSIM capable of supporting multi-IMSI technology and an Embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card (eUICC).

With Conexa’s multi IMSI eSIM, enterprises will have the flexibility to switch between multiple mobile networks via a single stock keeping unit (SKU) SIM card, which can also be configured remotely over-the-air using Remote SIM Provisioning without the need for physical SIM card changes. Customers will have the ability to switch automatically to different operators in real-time if network connectivity issues arise.

The launch of this module builds on Wireless Logic’s and u-blox’s strategic partnership, formed in 2024 to provide enterprises and developers with greater scalability, flexibility and network options for global IoT deployments.

“Our established partnership with u-blox shows our commitment to solving the latest IoT connectivity challenges,” said John Dillon, Managing Director of Product and Marketing, Wireless Logic. “By combining our IoT network and multi IMSI eSIM capabilities with u-blox’s LTE CAT 1BIS module, we can help businesses deploy their IoT solutions stress-free, anywhere in the world. We will continue to bring our expertise to this exciting partnership, so together we can identify new opportunities and set the benchmark for the IoT industry.”

“Our new module with inbuilt connectivity has been designed to offer the best user experience by making it simpler and quicker to achieve reliable connectivity while delivering cost efficiencies,” said Samuele Falcomer, LPWA Product Line Manager, u-blox. “Bundling can offer better financial outcomes than purchasing connectivity separately because customers do not need to buy a separate SIM, SIM holder, and the related components to make it work. The SARA-R10001DE module is supplied with the connectivity already profiled, so customers only need to activate it via the SIM Management.”
